Serious Accident at Hethersett

Norfolk Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision between a car and a motorcycle.

It happened on Saturday, October 2nd, at about 4.12pm on the B1172 Norwich Road junction with Colney Lane in Hethersett.

A blue Vauxhall Omega, was leaving Colney Lane and turning right onto the B1172 when it collided with a red Suzuki Bandit motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, who is a 39-year-old man, suffered a fractured pelvis and a fractured wrist and was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

Kristina Raines, spokeswoman for Norwich Police, said: “This would have been a busy time of day and officers would be keen to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or who may have seen either vehicle prior to the accident.”

Anyone with information should contact PC James Strivens-Coupe at Central Area Road Policing on (01953) 424242.
