Hethersett Collision Witness Appeal
Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident where a woman cyclist was left with broken ribs and bruised kidneys after a collision with a car. It happened at about 1.30pm on Thursday 30th September, at the junction with Mill Road and Park Lane in Hethersett. A 58-year-old local woman was riding a green bicycle which collided with a black Ford Mondeo. The driver of the car stopped after the incident, though he and the cyclist did not exchange details. The woman initially thought she was OK, but she has subsequently attended the accident and emergency department at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where she has been diagnosed with broken ribs and bruised kidneys. Police officers would like to hear from the driver of the car and anyone who may have seen the accident take place. The driver of the car is described as being an elderly male, white, about 65 to 70 years old, about 5ft 7ins tall, and was wearing dark-rimmed glasses. Anyone with information should contact PC Mike Proctor at Wymondham Police Station on (01953) 424242. |
