The Following stories were featured on the site in October 2009 Youth Club Re-opening - A firm date has been set for the re-opening of Hethersett Jubilee Youth Club. The club will officially start again on Wednesday 11th November 6.30 -8.30pm for the 11-13 age group. Just turn up on the night or call 01953 607566 for information. Meanwhile the Hethersett Talent at Christmas event has had to be changed to 15th December at the youth club hall.
Evening Will Go With a Bang - A community fireworks event is being held in the grounds of Hethersett High School on Saturday, 31st October. The event is being organised by Hethersett Athletic Football Club and proceeds from the event will go to the club and local schools. The evening kicks off with a display at 6.30 p.m suitable for younger children. The main display will be at 8 p.m. There will also be stalls and a barbecue. Tickets are £5 for adults, £3 for under-16s, students and senior citizens and a family ticket is also available for £13 for two adults and two children. Gates open at 5.30 p.m.
Silver Award for Village - Hethersett has been awarded a silver certificate in the small town category of Anglia in Bloom. To read what the judges had to say click here.

Last Gasp Ladies - Hethersett Athletic Ladies left it late to beat Barking in the first round of the Eastern Region League Cup - a trophy they have won the last two seasons. A last minute Emily Coates penalty saw them beat the Premier Division leaders
