Aspiring Artists 2009 Exhibition
Hethersett’s Aspiring Artists group held its sixth
annual exhibition in the village hall. Over the past six years the group has gone from strength
to strength and now boasts over 30 members working in a variety of mediums. The group meets on Thursdays, usually in Hethersett
Village Hall from 2 to 4 p.m. but also paints at outdoor venues as well. There was a great variety of subjects for this year’s
exhibition including portraits, still life, landscapes, seascapes and even a
members’ competition under the heading “All at Sea.” Places featured in paintings ranged from the close at home – Cromer Beach and Cringleford Bridge – to the wider world with scenic paintings of Venice. The paintings also reflected the seasons from Winter through to summer and subjects as diverse as aircraft and dormice.
