Candidate Simon Floyd has contacted us to give us his stance. Simon states "With an influx of new housing Hethersett is set to change. We need a parish council that is up to the challenge; one that will ensure that the local community is always at the forefront of considerations. A council that can seize the initiative and will get the community facilities that we both need and want."

Anne Edwards has sent the following information: "I have lived in Hethersett since 1994 and have been a Parish Councillor for the last four years. I am chairman of the Hethersett Environmental Action Team (HEAT) and am currently co-ordinating a year–long biodiversity study of the village. The Team is also involved in promoting energy saving measures, organises village litter picks, arranges the Open Garden event and generally keeps Hethersett blooming.
I am one of the village tree wardens who keep an eye on our veteran trees and plant new ones and am also an active conservation volunteer for the Norfolk Wildlife Trust. I am very much against large scale development in the village and the erosion of its green spaces and ancient gardens by in-filling. I am often to be seen walking my border terrier, Maisie, around the village and we are always ready to stop for a chat.
Chris Morriss has sent the following details - Retired teacher. Has lived in Hethersett for 18 years. Chairman of Horticultural Society, treasurer of Probus and WEA. Member of HEAT and Hethersett Society.
