Commemorative Coins

Children in Hethersett will be given a permanent reminder of this year’s Olympic games and Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with a special commemorative coin.

All children living in the village have been given the special coin. One side of the coin features one of the village’s symbols – a leaping deer - along with an Olympic torch and the inscription date of 5th July when the official Olympic flame visited the village. The other side features the words “Commemorating Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee, sixty glorious years 1952-2012.”

The coins have been funded by Hethersett’s Olympic Committee with support from Hethersett Parish Council.
