Cricket Awards Evening

Hethersett and Tas Valley Cricket Club reflected on a season of mixed fortune at its annual fireworks and presentation event at Flordon.

Members celebrated being awarded the prestigious ECB Clubmark standard. Individual club awards went to the following:

First Team batting, Matt Ellis; First Team Bowling, Lee King; Second Team Batting, Stuart Cooper and Rob Mitchell; Second Team Bowling, Jack Smith; Third Team Batting, Ross Jones; Third Team Bowling, Thomas Hutt; Overall Batting Cup, Matt Ellis; Overall Bowling Cup, Matt Steward; Catching Cup, Nick Burrett; Fielders' Catching Cup, Jack Smith, Dave Austin and Matt Ellis; Duck Cup, Joseph Wilson.

Most Improved Player, Glenn Wilson; Young Players of the Year, Joel Howard and Oliver Hutt; Best Performance, Matt Steward; Clubmen of the year, Glenn and Zena Wilson; Tea of the Year, Moira Ellis.

Junior Awards - Under-11 Batting, Jonathan Cooper; Under-11 Bowling, Oliver South; Under-13 Batting, Joseph Wilson; Under-13 Bowling, Joseph Wilson; Under-15 Batting, Joel Howard; Under-15 Bowling, Oliver Hutt; Youth Player of the Year, Joseph Wilson; Most Improved Player, Ben Davis.

The club will be holding winter nets at Wymondham Leisure Centre from 5.30 to 7 p.m on 28th January, 11th February, 25th February and 24th March. The club's annual meeting will take place at Flordon on 8th December at 7 p.m.
