Brownies Show Caring Side
Girls from the 1st Hethersett Brownies joined more than 200,000 children across the United Kingdom taking part in Mini Pots of Care, a creative fundraising activity for Marie Curie Cancer Care, run in partnership with Yellow Pages.
Each Brownie planted their own mini pot with a daffodil bulb which they then took home to care for. They will return the pots and flowers in February to do further fundraising for the charity.
Mini Pots of care forms part of the Great Daffodil Appeal, the charity's flagship annual fundraising campaign which takes place in March.
"The Brownies thoroughly enjoyed planting their daffodil bulbs and are looking forward to caring for them at home," said Brown Owl Carolyn Menin.
By taking part in this simple and fun activity, the group has been learning about the work of Marie Curie nurses.
