A special planning
weekend to discuss the future development of Hethersett is being held over two
days in March.
The “Vision for
Hethersett Community Planning Weekend” will take place from 2 to 7 p.m on
Friday 19th and from 10.30 a.m to 3.30 p.m on Saturday 20th
March at Hethersett Village Hall in Back Lane.
The weekend will look
at future growth in the village and surrounding area and how additional
investment can help with the wider regeneration of both Hethersett and Little
The weekend follows
the announcement by the Greater Norwich Development Partnership that
Hethersett could accommodate 1,000 additional homes. The weekend is being
organised by Hethersett Land Ltd who are part of the Ptarmigan Land Group, who
are working with local landowners on future possible development.
It is hoped the
weekend will develop a “vision for the future” and it is open to anybody
with an interest in the future of the village. The weekend will include
presentations, workshops, planning groups. Following the event a special open
public evening will be held at 7 p.m on Tuesday 23rd March at
Hethersett High School.
