Bea Ewart, who is a member of the Hethersett Archive Group, is helping to research details of those killed in war and commemorated on the village war memorial. She has written a number of poems about the two world wars and has kindly given permission to re-print a selection. Follow the links below to read the poems.
"Remembrance Day" was published in May 1997 by Poetry in Print in a book entitled "Time to Reflect." "Reparation" and "Grandfather" were written in conjunction with the "Thiepval Memorial" poem and should be read together. "Tyne Cot" and "Caribou" come from Bea's visit to the Somme in September 2006.
