Drop In Day on New Development - Hethersett Parish Council is inviting residents to have their say on proposed new development in the village at a drop in session at Hethersett Methodist Church from 10 a.m to 2 p.m on Saturday, 3rd December. Members of the public will be able to view and comment on the planning application for 1,196 new houses in the village. Plans and supporting documentation will be available for  inspection: "The comments will help the parish council to take into account the views of residents when we formulate our response to South Norfolk Council," said parish council vice chair Jacky Sutton. The council is also encouraging residents to write direct to South Norfolk Council or register their views online by accessing the planning portal of the South Norfolk web site. Village Development Exhibition - Hundreds of villagers turned up for the public exhibition to study plans for the future of Hethersett. Hethersett Land Ltd unveiled its "Vision of Hethersett" at the Methodist Church, To read about what is envisaged for the village click here. Community Planning Weekend - A village consultation process to discuss potential new development in the village which could see an additional 1,000 homes is being held on March 19th and 20th. Details of the weekend, which is open to everyone are available by clicking here. We will be attending both days and also the follow up meeting at Hethersett High School the following Tuesday. We will also be setting up a special section for news and views on any proposed development. This will include a section for public comment which can be sent by e-mailing by clicking here.
