Busy Time at the Hall
Caroline Tyrrell with the latest news on a busy time for Hethersett Hall.
It has been a busy time for residents and staff at Hethersett Hall
On Saturday 7th May, 2011, the Hall hosted a local history day, where local historian and Hethersett archivist Bill Reekie gave a talk and slide show about Hethersett and surrounding areas.
There was a wonderful
turn out and everyone enjoyed listening to the talk and and slide
show. Visitors took away a brochure which was put together by General

We received donations for the Race for Life of £130.
As you are all aware last year we had a shortage of honey bees countrywide. So in response to that we at Hethersett Hall decided to help the situation by having a bee hive. With help from local beekeeper Gill Tinsey we installed a hive and 60,000 honey bees which was very successful as we had almost 50lbs of lime and lavender honey last season. So we have now installed a second hive to help improve the pollination and honey bee stocks, and we hope to have more honey as a result.
As everyone will be aware
the Race for Life events are now starting. With this 9 staff members from
Hethersett Hall are entering the 10k race on Saturday 14th May
at 10am to raise money for Cancer Research UK’s life saving work.
We hope to raise as much
money as we can for this very important charity, if you would like to
support us on the day you will see us there in our pink Hethersett Hall

A pink day took place on Wednesday to help promote the event, the residents are very excited about this and some will be joining us on the day to cheer us along on the side lines.
