Events for the Youngsters

A number of events for children will be held in Hethersett during the school holidays.

Hethersett library has two special mornings set aside under the Big Wild Read initiative which is taking place in libraries throughout Norfolk.

On 31st July children from the age of seven along with their parents or carers will be able to follow a nature trail and take part in games and Nature Detective activities from 10 to 11.30 a.m.

On 7th August there will be a morning for Eco Warriers when children aged from 8 to 12 with their parents/carers will be asked to look at ways of saving the planet. There will be an eco quiz, games and activities from 10 to 11.30 a.m.

Booking for both events is essential and the library can be contacted on 01603 810188.

Meanwhile there will be a morning of traditional street play for families and children of all ages on 1st August on the Common, Ullswater Way from 10 a.m until noon organised by South Norfolk Council.

There will be a giant Connect Four, outdoor Jenga, circus skills, skittles, rounders and cricket. The event is free and once again children should be accompanied by parents and carers.
