 Horticultural Show 2011

The 2011 Hethersett and District Horticultural Society Show will take place in Hethersett Village Hall on Saturday, 10th September.

There will be a number of classes for non society members and these include: Heaviest marrow, life size scarecrow, decorated adult size wellie, nine tomatoes - small fruited or cherry, 5 dessert apples,  one specimen rose, Norfolk Landscape from a traditional film camera, a single bloom taken using a digital camera, a jam filled Jamaica Sandwich cake. Entry fee for the marrow, scarecrow and wellie classes is 15p and for the other classes 10p

There is no entry fee for young people classes which include the following: a decorated 6 inch flower pot for up to seven year olds, a face mask for up to seven year olds, a monster from fruit or vegetables for ages 8 to 11, a letter shape in cress on a flat surface for ages 8 to 11, a piece of jewellery made from any materials for ages 12 to 14 and a box made from any material for ages 12 to 14.

Notification of entries must be made between 7 and 8.30 p.m in the General Purpose Room at Hethersett Methodist Church on Thursday 8th September and all entries must be put in place in the Village Hall between 8 and 10.15 a.m on Saturday 10th September. Doors are open to the public from 2 p.m with prizegiving at 3.30 p.m and an auction of produce at 4 p.m.
