Jodie Meets a Knight
A Hethersett
Athletic Ladies football player has been held up as a role model for her
fellow students. Jodie Allard, who
has played for Norfolk Ladies on a number of occasions, was presented to
England soccer legend and FA Director for Football Development Sir Trevor
Brooking at a special awards event at Caister High School. Jodie, who lives
in Caister, has gained
three grade As at A level and won a place at Loughborough University
on the nationally acclaimed sports science course. Jodie was also
instrumental in persuading the physical education staff at the school to
introduce girls football in 2002. She was a member of the highly
successful Hethersett Athletic Ladies team that came runners-up last
season in the Eastern Region Women’s League Premier Division and who
took the League Cup. Now Jodie is
looking to make the Loughborough University Ladies team. She has already
attended pre-season training with them.
