Bucking The Trend
A Hethersett Financial company is bucking the recession
by increasing its business. Edward Jones Ltd opened a shop in Hethersett village
centre in 2008 and has just celebrated its first birthday with an open
afternoon for clients and guests. And far from being gloomy, Stockbroker and Financial
Adviser Stuart Fairhurst was very upbeat about the future both in the village
and on a wider scale. “Over the past year we have seen a 15% growth in business. Obviously it is a difficult time for people to invest and many are concerned about where to put their savings.. “We are able to give people advice about the best place for their investments and being part of a top international company helps them to trust us. Many people’s goals haven’t changed, they have just had to re-evaluate where they are and where they want to be. “We are finding people are taking a more long term view of investment and we can help them to diversify their portfolios,” Stuart Fairhurst said. Stuart set up the Hethersett branch in Great Melton Road in the spring of 2008 after moving from Taverham and bringing many of his customers with him. “We will continue to offer people a personal service and even aim to exceed the service levels people expect,” Stuart added.
