News Digest - June 2008 Hethersett Parish Council clerk Ian Weetman is available to discuss matters of concern and interest to local people in the upstairs office at Hethersett Village Hall from 10 a.m until noon on Mondays and Thursdays. * * * A
vacancy exists for a parish council nominated trustee on the Hethersett
Memorial Playing Field Management Committee. The committee works under the
auspices of the parish council with the remit of looking after and developing
facilities on the Memorial field. Anybody interested in volunteering for the
position should contact Hethersett parish clerk Ian Weetman on 01603 810915. *

* Jenny Smith was the guest speaker at Hethersett Methodist Church’s ladies breakfast. She showed a DVD and spoke about her work teaching in a township in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The church’s singing fellowship will be holding an afternoon of singing, poetry and readings on Friday (13th June) in the church from 2.30 p.m. All are welcome. * * * A
