Library's Wildlife Hethersett
Library celebrated the arrival of summer with an event focussing on local
wildlife. Dr
Anne Edwards from Wymondham Nature Group gave a fascinating talk on
biodiversity and there were a variety of activities on offer including
feely boxes, owl pellets to dissect, microscopes to look at the
diversity of life in pond water and a chance to make a butterfly feeder.
Community
Librarian Ben Miller said "The idea of the event was to help
young people appreciate the rich variety of creatures and plants
we're so lucky to have on our doorstep here in Norfolk, and to celebrate
the work of groups like the Wymondham Nature Group who do so much to protect
and promote it.” Our photograph shows youngster Daniel Lewin dissecting an owl pellet.
