Methodist Church Events

Hethersett Methodist Church’s men’s breakfast group discussed the future of church life and religion at their latest meeting which preceded another shoppers’ coffee plus sale.

The next speaker at the church’s Ladies Breakfast on 7th June will be Jenny Smith who will talk about teaching in a South African township.

Spring and summer will be a busy time for the church. May 17th sees the annual plant sale on the forecourt between 9 a.m and noon with proceeds going to the Hope and Homes for Children charity. The following day the church will hold its annual meeting after the morning service at 1 p.m when there will be a café style open discussion on the challenges of the next five years.

This Saturday (10th May) church members will be attending an awayday at Long Stratton and Sunday’s evening service at 6.30 p.m will be led by the Minister the Rev Derek Grimshaw and the youth section who will talk about their recent away weekend at North Walsham.

The church is also busy preparing to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its Operation New Look which transformed the old chapel into today’s modern Methodist church.
