Philharmonic Twinning Concert Four soloists, two
conductors, a symphony orchestra and two historic choirs will come
together at St Andrew’s Hall, Norwich, on Sunday (27th May)
for a special twinning concert hosted by the Norwich Philharmonic
Society. The choir will include
singers from Hethersett, Wymondham and Attleborough. Singers from the choir
of the Musik-Institut from Koblenz in Germany will be joining the
Norwich Philharmonic chorus and orchestra for the latest in a long
established series of musical exchanges between the twin cities. The concert, which
starts at 7.30 p.m, will include Schubert’s Rosamunde Overture and
Mass in A Flat and Beethoven’s Eighth Symphony. Soloists will be Pamela
Hay (soprano), Lucy Ballard (mezzo-soprano), James Atherton (tenor) and
Olle Zetterstrom (bass). Conductors will be Tom Seligman and David
Dunnett. A total of 150 singers
will take part in the concert with the Koblenz contingent arriving in
Norwich on Friday ahead of the first rehearsal that evening. Tickets are priced
between £9.50 and £13.50 and are available from Prelude Records in
