Traditional Play Day

Young children in Hethersett rolled back the years at the beginning of August to enjoy a morning of traditional street play.

South Norfolk Council hosted a morning of fun and traditional play on the common just off Ullswater Way on the Steepletower estate.

For over two hours young children, parents and carers enjoyed rounders, circus skills, outdoor Jenga and Connect Four and many other pursuits.

Well over 100 youngsters, many of infant or pre-school age, took part in the free play day which was part of the launch of South Norfolk's Play Strategy.

Our photo above shows sisters Harriet and Eleanor Lewis enjoying the ball pond.

Details of the South Norfolk play strategy can be viewed by clicking here.
