Pledge For Health - posted 24th November, 2011

25th January, 2012, could be an important date for a new you in the new year.

Using the inspiration of the London Olympic Games, Pledge 2012 aims to get 2012 people in Norfolk to pledge to achieve a sport or health related goal, by the opening ceremony on the 27th July 2012.

The project is being run by Active Norfolk in partnership with Norfolk County Council and the National Health Service. Pledge 2012 has been set up to support participants to reach their goals whether its taking up a new sport, becoming a coach, losing weight or just becoming more active.

The Pledge Pod will be visiting Hethersett Woodside Infant and Nursery School on 25th January. There will be a special assembly at 9 am on an Olympic and Pledge theme. Whilst village schoolchildren are going to be involved in activities during the day, there will be an opportunity for people of all ages to come along between 3-5pm to record their pledge by photo, video or on the "Woodside Pledge Wall."

Further details of the event are available on the Woodside school web site which can be accessed by clicking here or on the Pledge 2012 site which can be accessed by clicking here.

Woodside Infant and Nursery School is the only school in the county to be invited to host such an event
