A Safe Place to Live
Hethersett continues to be a very safe place to live according to latest police figures released for the 2011 annual village parish meeting.
The following report was compiled for the meeting by the Hethersett and Mulbarton Safer Neighbourhood Team which consists of Inspector James Brown, Sgt Steven King, PC Glen Hambling, PC Ross Carter, PCSO Darrin Sore, PCSO Tim Philpott and PCSO Oliver Butcher.
"Hethersett is regularly patrolled by police both day and night and we are continuing to pro-actively seek out and deal with anyone committing crime or anti-social behaviour.
Officers have made good progress with youths known to cause anti-social behaviour and in partnership working with schools and the council have been able to give support and advice not just to youths but to parents too.
We also have been working alongside Saffron Housing and the highways department to try and resolve community issues such as parking problems and neighbour disputes.
Hethersett is still a very safe place to live but we would encourage residents to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious persons or vehicles via the 0845 456 4567 number with as much details as possible or 999 in an emergency.
