Hethersett Celebrates at Royal Norfolk Show

Youngsters from Hethersett Schools featured prominently at the 2012 Royal Norfolk Show which took place at the Costessey Showground on June 27th and 28th. Hethersett celebrated our achievements and the recognition we have received by the national Olympics organising committee for our work over the past three years in supporting the London 2012 Olympics.

Children from Hethersett Woodside Infants and Nursery School, Hethersett Junior School and Hethersett High School took part each day in a special parade in the main ring to celebrate the London Olympic games.

On Wednesday there was a special award for chair of the village Olympic Committee Shane Hull to mark his outstanding work in the village. This was presented in the main ring. Alongside Shane was Hethersett High School pupil Lauren Boswell-Riches who designed the village's very own Olympic torch. Below are some of those who took part in the ceremony on Wednesday.
