Operatic Society Appeal The South Norfolk
Operatic Society is looking for a new accompanist for its coming season
which starts in January. The group performs at
least two concerts a year with a special show in October that, over the
past three years, has taken popular Broadway shows as its theme. The group
also performs light opera and popular classics. The group’s latest
offering is a special Christmas Concert in Wymondham Central Hall on 15th
December. The new accompanist must
be at least 16 years of age and have a minimum of grade six piano. It is a
paid position and the group rehearses at Wymondham Town Green every Friday
evening from 7.45 to 10 p.m. The society is also
looking for additional members: “We are constantly looking for more
voices in all parts and would particularly welcome younger faces,” said
society member Ian Harrison. Anybody interested in
joining the group or applying for the accompanist position should contact
secretary Kath Terry on 01953 605088. The group also has a web site at
www.snos.org.uk
