Slams Beccles - July 5th
Tim Shelley (pictured
opposite) smashed 176 as Hethersett beat Beccles to
return to the top of Division One of the Norfolk League.
Tim and skipper Matt Ellis put on a record third wicket
partnership of 281 to take the score from a precarious
3-2 to 284-3. Hethersett finished on 309-4 which proved
t be far too good for their Waveney Valley opponents |

Re-arranged
Date
The
re-arranged Under-16s 20-20 tournament will take place on Sunday 13th July
with an 11.30 a.m start. Four teams - Garboldisham, Great Ellingham, Rocklands and
Hethersett and Tas Valley - will be taking part. There will be two games in the morning one on each pitch, then a break for
lunch. In the afternoon the winners from the morning will be playing on the main pitch and the 3rd and 4th play off
will be on the second pitch. After the games there will be a short presentation with trophies for the winners and runners up plus best batsman and best bowler
awards. The BBQ will be fired up and the bar will be open. Tea, coffee and snacks will be available all day.
Race
Night Date
The
club will be holding its first ever race night at the end of the season on Saturday 6th
September. The event will be held at Tas in a marquee and there will be food and of course the bar will be open. All the proceeds from this event will help to pay for
the club's new electronic scoreboard.
