Hethersett win Triangular Tournament

Batsman of the tournament Alex Bugg receives his trophy from Hethersett and Tas Valley Cricket Club chairman Tony Smith


Hethersett and Tas Valley were the winners of an Under-16 triangular tournament held at Flordon. 

The event was organised by Hethersett club chairman Tony Smith who afterwards heralded it  a success and something likely to be repeated next season. 

Teams representing Great Ellingham, Rocklands and Hethersett and Tas Valley took part with the home side in unbeatable form. 

The day was split into a round robin competition with the teams playing each other in 15 over a side matches with the top two contesting the final. 

Group results: Hethersett and Tas Valley 104-6 (Tom Brandon Street 27), beat Great Ellingham 77-4 by 27 runs. 

Hethersett and Tas Valley 71-4 beat Rocklands 70-5 (Spencer Hunt 2-2) by six wikets. Great Ellingham beat Rocklands. 

Final Hethersett and Tas Valley 126-3 (Tom Brandon Street 38, Alex Bugg 31) beat Great Ellingham 86-4 by 40 runs. 

The top batsman award went to Alex Bugg of Hethersett and the top bowler award to James Hawkins of Great Ellingham.
