Hethersett and Tas Valley Cricket Club Bernard Matthews 20-20 Cup 2008 Hethersett
and Tas Valley had a comfortable passage through to the second round of
the Bernard Matthews Cup with a 42
run victory over Ketteringham Hall. Hethersett
batted first and hammered 173-3 from their restricted 16 overs with
openers Dave Cosford (53) and Nick Burrett (62) picking off the Hall
bowlers. They were well supported by Lee King (27 not out) and Matt Ellis
(11 not out). Ketteringham
fell well short of their target being all out for 131 with Matt Steward
taking 3-26 and two wickets each for Steven Beck and Asad Abbas. Hethersett
Under-11s beat Mulbarton Under-11s by seven runs in the Norfolk Alliance
Under-11s League. Hethersett and Tas Valley beat Ketteringham Hall by 42 runs in
the Bernard Matthews Midweek 20-20 Cup first round. Hethersett and Tas Valley

Valley found Brooke too strong for them as they bowed out of the Bernard
Matthews 20-20 cup in a match restricted to 16 overs. Brooke scored
143-4 and then restricted Hethersett to 116-5 with Richard Ellis
top scoring with 41. Hethersett and Tas Valley lost to Brooke by 27 runs
in the second round of the Bernard Matthews 20-20 Cup. Brooke
