Transitional Meeting A series of free discussion evenings are being held in
Hethersett in an attempt to reduce people’s carbon footprints. The meetings are organised by the Transition Norwich group
which has been in existence since its launch in St Andrew’s Hall in October
2008. Transition Norwich is just one of many groups set up
throughout the country and further afield to bring together villages, towns,
communities to reduce climate impact. The first of the four meetings will take place at a venue
still to be announced in Hethersett on Friday 9th July when topics
to be discussed include direct energy, transport, food, embodied energy and
waste. The initiative is aimed at small groups of about 10 people
and will also explore the personal barriers to carbon reduction and also
provide practical steps that can be taken by everyone. More information is available and places can be booked on
01603 811997. Transition Norwich also has a web site at http://transitionnorwichnews.blogspot.com
