Welcome
to the village of Hethersett, Norfolk, England Hethersett is a large
village of over 5,000* people, seven miles from the city of Norwich. It is about 25 miles from
the Norfolk coast on the eastern side of England and about 110 miles from
London. In 2001, Hethersett was
named “Norfolk Village of the Year” for villages with populations of over
900 in the annual competition held by the Eastern Daily Press newspaper. This site is unashamedly
about the village, its people and its organisations and will build into a full
picture of a Norfolk village both past, present and even future. Hethersett - A Norfolk Village on the Web is owned, edited and maintained by local resident Peter Steward who has lived in the village since 1977. Any views expressed in the pages are his. So come on a journey with
us into the heart of a Norfolk village.
To read all about the village just click on the
church at the top of the page Peter Steward 2005 * - 5,441 according to the 2001 census I would like to feature pen pictures of as many villagers as possible.
