Hethersett Who's Who The following pages are dedicated to the people of Hethersett - both past and present. The idea is to build up a database giving details of people who either live or have lived in the village over the past 20 years. A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z S Anne Steward Anne has lived in Hethersett for over 20 years and today lives in Karen Close with husband Peter. They have two adult children - Matt and Chris. Anne comes from West Yorkshire and was gained a Batchelor of Arts Degree from the University of East Anglia. She met Peter on a visit to Russia. Anne is a qualified careers' officer, but at present teaches at Cringleford First and Middle School. She is a member of and former steward of Hethersett Methodist Church and was a former chair of the village inetr-church council. Her hobbies include gardening and travel. Christopher Steward Chris was born in Hethersett and educated at Woodside First School, Hethersett Middle, Hethersett High and the Hewett School. He has just completed a four year BA (honors) course in physical education from the University of Brighton and from September 2004 will be teaching PE at Bexhill High School in Sussex. Chris is a keen footballer and has captained both the Hewett School which won a major international youth tournament in the USA and the University of Brighton. When in Norfolk he plays for Acle United and Hethersett Athletic. Chris' hobbies include listening to music and most sports and in 2004 he took part in a coaching soccer for peace project in Israel. Matthew Steward Matt is currently studying for a degree in physical education at Leeds Metropolitan University. He has lived in Hethersett for all his life and is a former member of the village youth parish council. Matt was educated at Woodisde First School, Hethersett Middle, Hethersett High and the Hewett School. A keen sportsman, he was awarded the top PE prize whilst at Hethersett High and today plays football for Leeds Met, Wymondham Town and Hethersett's Men's First Team. He also plays cricket for Hethersett and Tas Valley. Peter Steward Peter lives in Karen Close and has lived in Hethersett for well over 20 years, having moved from Buckingham Drive. Initially trained as a journalist, he worked for many years for Eastern Counties Newspapers (now Archant) as a general reporter, sub editor and latterly as sports editor of the Norwich Mercury Series. He is at present E-Communications manager for Norfolk Constabulary, having also filled such positions as Press Officer and Head of Media and Public Relations. Peter is married to Anne and has two adult sons - Matt and Chris. He is currently chair of Hethersett Middle School Governors and chair of Hethersett Athletic Football Club. His hobbies include reading, music, the arts, writing and most sports. Peter has a Masters degree in Professional Development from the University of East Anglia and also holds qualifications in sports psychology and life coaching. |
