Memorial Playing Field Workshops Hethersett
Residents are being urged to “get involved” in bringing new life to the
village’s Memorial Playing Field. Two
community led design workshops are being held in March to give the community a
chance to plan for the future of the field. “Through
a Government scheme called Building Communities the Memorial Playing Field
Trust has secured the assistance of leading community design charity The Glass
House. They are the country’s leading experts in helping local groups to
take a creative approach to green space design,” said Hethersett
Memorial Playing Field Trustees’ Chair and Hethersett Parish
Councillor Simon Floyd. Community
workshops will be held on two Sundays (March 4th and 25th)
at Woodcote Sheltered Housing complex from Midday to 6 p.m. “By
the end of the workshops we will have a plan for the field which will embrace
the needs of the whole community. This will support us to develop the field
into a place we can all be proud of, as well as making it much easier to raise
funds,” Simon Floyd added. Spaces
on the workshops are limited to 30: “We would prefer people to commit to
both dates if possible,” Mr Floyd added. Places
can be booked through Hethersett Memorial Playing Field secretary Peter Hoult
on 01603 811337 or via e-mail at Hethersett@aol.com
